Sharing Home

Making a place a home only a idea until we made one in 2021.
But then we have to move to Karachi & we thought why not share our house with others and still keep it.

In 2021, we moved out of my parents’ house for the first time. It was a new experience, but I had a lot of support—financially and emotionally. In fact, I didn’t have to do much on my own, as we received a lot of help. The place is rented (and still is), but we call it our home and love it dearly.

It’s an old house, surrounded by Jamun and guava trees in the backyard. Mango, cheeku, and sukhchain trees provide the perfect amount of privacy and keep a cool breeze flowing through the house all day. There are large windows in every room, allowing for excellent cross-ventilation.

When we moved to Karachi, we decided to list our home on Airbnb to share it with others. Now, many people stay there, and they love it just as much as we do. Whenever we return to Lahore, we stay there—it’s always home to us.
